The future direction of Camperdown’s branch of Sinclair Wilson Accountants and Business Advisors has been shored up with the appointment of a new partner.

David Maher, who has been an integral part of the branch for the past decade, joined stalwart Tony Davis in the role of partner at the branch earlier this month.

Mr Maher said his promotion gave the business the opportunity to continue to operate as the community had come to expect.

“The business and the clients have been here for a long time, so it will be great to be able to continue with that and provide these services to the region,” he said.

For Mr Maher, the promotion from associate to partner was a personal feat.

“Personally, I feel it’s a big achievement,” he said. “It has given me an opportunity to provide leadership and taken an active role in the management of the Camperdown Office.”

Sinclair Wilson hasĀ 9 offices across Victoria and at Mount Gambier. The Camperdown office is one of five permanent offices, alongside Warrnambool, Colac, Hamilton and Mount Gambier, while there are part-time offices in Cobden, Terang, Mortlake and Timboon, among other locations. “Sinclair Wilson has a proud heritage, established in 1950 as a two partner firm, it has grown to become one of the largest accounting firms in regional Australia,” Mr Maher said.

Mr Maher said he was looking forward to his new position and the continuing presence of Sinclair Wilson in Camperdown.
