Circuit-breaker support package – Warrnambool business experts explain
The Victorian Government yesterday announced a $250m support package as a result of the circuit breaker lockdown announced on 27 May 2021.
Details as of today (31 May) are still light-on, and you won’t be able to apply until later this week. But what we already know about it is as follows:
The Package includes three components to assist businesses through the circuit breaker lockdown:
1. Business Costs Assistance Program
This program provides $2,500 grants for eligible businesses (including sole operators) that operate in an industry that can’t operate under the circuit breaker restrictions and that can’t work remotely.
The program will open for applications on Wednesday 2 June 2021. Businesses will have three weeks to apply.
More detail about this grant is expected as the week goes on. Keep in touch with us to ensure that you make the most of what’s available.
2. Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021
Businesses that hold an eligible liquor licence and food certificate will be granted $3,500 per premises.
Once again, this program will open for applications on Wednesday 2 June 2021, and will remain open for applications for three weeks.
