Felicity Melican

Felicity Melican is a Principal Accountant at Sinclair Wilson, based in Warrnambool, where she leads the firm’s Audit & Assurance division. With more than 30 years of experience, Felicity provides specialist Audit and Advisory services across both the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors, working with charities, businesses, clubs across many sectors.

As Sinclair Wilson’s Audit & Assurance Partner, Felicity is committed not only to delivering high-quality audits and reviews, but to ensuring these services deliver real, value-added outcomes. Her approach is collaborative and strategic—supporting clients in strengthening financial reporting, improving internal systems and controls, enhancing governance, and meeting compliance requirements. Whether working with a growing business, a charitable organization, or a regulated entity, she aims to provide practical insights and tailored guidance that support long-term sustainability and success.

Felicity holds a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Diploma in Education, and is a Chartered Accountant (CA), registered Company Auditor, registered Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Auditor, and SMSF Specialist Auditor accredited by the SMSF Association. She joined Sinclair Wilson in 1993 and became the firm’s first female partner in 2001.

Her deep community involvement reflects not only her personal values but also the broader Sinclair Wilson commitment to community engagement and regional development. Felicity has served on numerous boards and committees including South West Healthcare (awarded life governorship), Heatherlie Homes, Shipwreck Coast Tourism, Wunta Fiesta, South West Institute of TAFE, and Emmanuel College, Emmanuel College Foundation, Mercy Education Ltd, and currently serves on the Board of Loved & Shared Inc. In addition, she is a Trustee of The A L Lane Foundation and The Thomas O’Toole Foundation, further demonstrating her commitment to philanthropy and positive social impact.

Felicity regularly supports clients in navigating regulatory frameworks such as those administered by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). She also leads Sinclair Wilson’s annual Christmas Wishing Tree initiative, providing support to local children in need during the festive season.
